Instead, on April 15th we are calling on all Local Union No. 1 members to join with thousands of workers across this city in the fight to save the middle class.

 

Members are asked to assemble on the corners of Dekalb Avenue and Flatbush Extension at 6:00 A.M., the location of a proposed 70-story construction site.

 

Members will later assemble at 111 West 57th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues at 4:00 P.M. in front of a proposed 78-story construction site.

 

Both jobs are planned to be built non-union by JDS Development Group.

 

This is unacceptable.

 

After we rally with thousands of our Brothers and Sisters from the NYC Building and Construction Trades Council on W. 57th Street, we will march to a location near Columbus Circle and join with airport staff, home healthcare aides, adjunct professors, fast food workers and all workers in their struggle for a fair wage.  From there, we will march to Times Square.

 

We know that by coming together we can win!
