Triangle Factory Fire Commemoration
Thursday, March 22, 2018
On March 25, 1911, a terrible fire engulfed three floors of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. 146 lives were lost that day but the workers did not die in vain, as the tragedy laid the groundwork for many of the labor laws and regulations that help protect workers today.
Join us tomorrow at the site of this tragedy at Washington Place & Greene Street at 11:30 AM to remember the lives that were lost and to recommit to the fight for worker safety and justice.
