LOCAL No. 1 PARTICIPATES BIG TIME IN BUILD UP NY CAMPAIGN - (6/5/2014)

On Saturday, May 31, 2014 Members of Plumbers Local Union No. 1 met in Astoria Queens for the Build Up New York Postcard Signature Drive pushing for responsible development at Astoria Cove, a 1700-unit development that we want to see built Union just like the Build Up New York project in Staten Island was.  Eighteen Local 1 members took time out of their busy weekend to participate for 3 hours – which was more than any other trade!  Special thanks to the following members: Vincent Badalamente, Roebrto Lopez, Natasha Zoe-Willshire, Chris Conboy, Jr., Peter Desiderio, Christopher Colasauno, David Flood, Michael Siniscalchi, Jahir Elvitt, Kevin McCarthy, Robert Cichosz, Beshion Bailey, Jonathan Dempsy, Freddy Garcia, Steve Pomarico, Leroy Cameron, Patrick Nurse and Local 1 Organizer Carl l. Johnson, Jr. 

If YOU wish to participate, the next Build Up New York Campaign will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 9:00 AM.  Local 1 will meet at Hoyt Park off of 31^st Street in Astoria, Queens.  Contact Organizer Carl L. Johnson, Jr. at the Union Hall for additional information.
