It was over a year ago that we told you about the millions of your New York State tax dollars that were being sent to China for steel to be used on the Verrazano Bridge.  Our collective outrage at that waste inspired the "Buy American" legislation that would give preference to American steel and iron on public projects, saving jobs and boosting manufacturing.

 

Now the New York State Senate and Assembly have introduced "Buy American" legislation into their respective one house budget bills.  This is a critical first step to passing it in the budget and committing NY to rebuilding our infrastructure the right way.  But it won't happen without your help.
